World-class education

The College at ACG Tauranga offers a comprehensive, well-rounded academic education and a strong foundation for a bright future. We equip your child with the confidence, knowledge, and skills required for tomorrow’s world.

Our College is divided into two levels, Lower Secondary School (Years 7-10) and Senior School (Years 11-13).

At every stage, your child will develop a range of skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, independent learning and communication, underpinned by an internationally recognised curriculum.

Student leadership

The ACG Tauranga Student Leadership model provides an integrated approach, acknowledging the diverse ways that students contribute to, and participate in, school life. It encourages involvement and a collegial approach to leadership, whilst recognising the value of service. Whether it’s by taking a lead within their house, progressing on the Tauranga pillars, adding their voice to the student council or serving their community.

Cambridge vs NCEA

NCEA is a curriculum built around internal assessments that take place throughout the academic year. Because of the heavy assessment schedule, teachers may spend a lot of time preparing, delivering, moderating, and marking assessments. The  Cambridge curriculum allows our teachers to use classroom time more effectively. Cambridge is externally examined, with an end-of-year examination, allowing teachers to spend more time teaching students and less marking assessments.
