Remarkable award success

The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards honour students who achieve distinctions such as Top in World, Top in New Zealand, or High Achievement in Cambridge examinations. ‘High Achievement’ recognises learners who have excelled in less commonly taken subjects.

100% A-Level pass rate and university entrance

ACG Tauranga also proudly achieved a 100% A-Level pass rate and Y13 university entrance, showcasing the school’s commitment to academic success and student advancement.

Exceptional student achievement

Year 12 student and Top in World award winner Shefaa Swailam achieved a perfect mark of 100% for AS-Level Mathematics - and an outstanding total of five A’s across her five AS-Level papers (there is no A* at AS-Level).

Other standout results for the school include Year 13 student Claire Ma, who achieved five full A-Levels, including A* for Biology and Literature, and A for Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Meanwhile at IGCSE Level an impressive five ACG Tauranga students achieved straight A’s. That is 1 out of every 8 candidates. One in every 3 papers completed was at A or A*.

ACG Tauranga Principal Thea Kilian is delighted with the results, which set a new benchmark for the school.

“We are incredibly proud to receive our first Cambridge Top in World award, and are thrilled for Shefaa that all her hard work and dedication has paid off,” she says.

“Overall as a school we have achieved outstanding Cambridge results and that is testament to the unwavering commitment of our students and teachers, and the supportive environment ACG Tauranga provides for students to reach their academic goals.”
