Crowning a year of exceptional academic performances, senior students at ACG Tauranga have reached new levels of success in the recent Cambridge International exams, including a perfect A-Level pass rate.

ACG Tauranga’s overall Cambridge pass rates for 2021 show an extremely high level of accomplishment and continue to rival those of other top schools around New Zealand.

  • A-Level: 100%
  • AS-Level: 95%
  • IGCSE: 100%

Additionally, the number of top grades awarded was truly outstanding. Across our senior school, 59% of A-Level papers received A* and A grades (80% and above), ensuring 2021 was our school’s most academically successful year ever.

Student attainment at an IGCSE level was also cause for delight. An impressive 39% of IGCSE papers earned A* and A grades – an improvement of 13% on our 2020 results.

While our focus remains on providing a well-rounded and holistic education to allow all students to maximise their potential and achieve to the best of their abilities, these outcomes are sure to solidify our academic reputation over the coming years.

Principal Thea Kilian is delighted with these outstanding results and recognises the effort, engagement, and enthusiasm every student has devoted to their studies over the past year. Undeterred by the transitions between physical campus and online learning, our students have clearly flourished under the guidance and support of ACG Tauranga's dedicated group of teachers and education specialists.

Parents are thrilled with our remarkable Cambridge Curriculum results.

“Since joining ACG Tauranga two years ago, our daughter has flourished. We have been extremely pleased with her results at IGCSE and AS-Level, which were achieved through a partnership of her hard work and her excellent ACG Tauranga teachers recognising her strengths and weaknesses, helping her reach her potential. The teachers are highly skilled, professional educators who are always available outside the classroom for individual or group tutor sessions to support student learning. The Cambridge curriculum is very robust and challenging, but teachers make sure students are well prepared to sit exams with thorough knowledge of content and the ability to evaluate and analyse." – Scott & Karen B.

“We are incredibly proud of all of Chelsea’s achievements at ACG Tauranga, including her academic results. Whilst we know she has devoted a tremendous amount of time and effort to achieve these results, she is the first to advocate she could not have reached these milestones without the support, direction and assistance of her teachers and the ACG staff. Chelsea is an exceptionally dedicated pupil, and she is the first to dedicate her Dux of 2021 award to those who guided her through several years of high academic standards at ACG.” – Lavina & Brendon G.
