ACG Tauranga College students have once again performed to the highest of their abilities and achieved amazing success in their recent A-Level assessments.
Moving from strength to strength, our Year 12 and 13 cohorts have shown their mettle and demonstrated the calibre of their learning in the 2021 Cambridge International Curriculum examinations. Despite a year dominated by Covid-19 uncertainty, senior students have received our best A-Level results ever, building on the success of 2020 and continuing to grow the school’s reputation for excellence in academic achievement.
Consequently, the school is now celebrating another year of outstanding results.
AS-Level success (the initial stage of senior student study)
- 95% pass rate
A2-Level success (final stage of senior student study)
- 100% pass rate, with a phenomenal 59% of papers receiving A* or A grades (80% or better)
These outcomes illustrate exceptional performances across all subject areas, with students attaining a perfect A-Level pass rate for the third consecutive year.
The number of A grades awarded was also particularly pleasing, with a remarkable 30% improvement at A-Level.
“We are incredibly pleased with our A-Level results; however, it is the quality of the journey towards these outcomes which allows us to stand proud as educators,” says ACG Tauranga Principal Thea Kilian. “We have been privileged to support each and every one of our students to grow as learners, to remain focussed and engaged within a changing environment, and to achieve their own personal success.”
2021 has been a benchmark year for the school, which has seen its young learners recognised for an impressive array of accomplishments. In addition to their outstanding academic attainments, students have excelled in a variety of sporting endeavours, music and drama performances and participated in a range of artistic and technological pursuits. As we launch into 2022, the future is looking very bright indeed.
