ACG Tauranga’s overall Cambridge pass rates for 2020 show an extremely high level of accomplishment and continue to rival those of other top schools around New Zealand.
- A-Level: 100%
- AS-Level: 91%
- IGCSE: 96%
Additionally, the number of top grades awarded was truly outstanding. Across our Senior school, there was a 29% increase in A* and A grades (80% and above) received for A-Level papers, alongside an impressive 17% improvement at AS-Level.
Student achievement at an IGCSE level was also cause for delight with our Year 11 cohort performing remarkably well in the examinations – an outcome which is sure to solidify our academic reputation over the coming years.
With the increasing number of Cambridge International students around the world and the unprecedented challenges of 2020, achieving such phenomenal results was a true testament to our dedicated teaching staff, the hard work and enthusiasm of our students, and the ongoing support of our parents.
“I am incredibly proud of our results. More so though, I am humbled by the individual stories that underpin these results,” says ACG Tauranga Principal Thea Kilian. “Each and every one of our children faced their own challenges throughout this year. To be able to celebrate their individual success and growth is a privilege, not just for myself as principal, but for our staff who walk every step alongside them.”
