Dani Archer

Dance

Dani is a passionate and experienced dancer, choreographer and dance teacher. She began her teaching career at Baradene College of the Sacred Heart in Auckland, where she taught Year 7-8 Dance and Drama. She later taught in the general primary classroom at Diocesan School for Girls in Auckland and Cranbrook Junior School for Boys in Sydney. On returning to New Zealand she opened her own business Bay of Plenty Performing Arts which she successfully ran for 6 years. During this time Dani was also involved in choreography for Tauranga Musical Theatre where she choreographed shows such as ‘Catch Me If You Can’, ‘Wicked The Musical’ and was also nominated for a Best Choreography of a Musical Zony Award.

Dani is looking forward to providing ACG Tauranga students with more Performing Arts opportunities and building a strong Performing Arts programme within the school. She believes the Performing Arts is an excellent platform for students to develop creativity, confidence and lateral thinking and she is looking forward to fostering a passion for the dance and drama in her students.

Dani holds a Bachelor of Dance from AUT University and a Graduate Diploma in Primary Teaching from Auckland University.
