Kia ora koutou, ko Robyn Dixon toku ingoa.
Greetings everyone, I am Robyn it is a privilege to be a kaiako ‘teacher’ at ACG Preschool and to share this part of the journey with you and your tamariki and whānau.
I am married to Stephen and we have been blessed with our two awesome young adults, Josiah, and Sarah.
I studied through Bethlehem Tertiary Institute to receive my ECE teaching degree in 2014, however, my learning journey started many years ago with Occupational Therapy.
My passion is ‘whānaungatanga’ making respectful connections with your tamariki ‘children’ and you, their whānau and the wider community. I believe relationships built on trust are crucial to having a sense of belonging, which is a foundation for learning in a caring and nurturing environment.
I am a strong advocate for the importance of learning through play, while providing different opportunities to explore, develop and support for calculated risk-taking. I appreciate the uniqueness of each tamaiti ‘child’, knowing their needs and encouraging the building of resilience and positive social-emotional well-being. I look forward to getting to know you.
