This year, the event raised money for Tauranga Riding for the Disabled (RDA), a cause with which Henrietta has a personal connection.
“My mum volunteered for and now coaches at the Tauranga RDA, and I’ve done work experience there,” she said. “I’ve seen for myself the amazing work they do providing therapy and fun for children and adults with physical and developmental difficulties through horse riding.”
Henrietta joined ACG Tauranga as a Year 9 student this year. She fitted in Mount climbs around starting her new school, keeping on top of homework, hockey trials and orchestra rehearsals. She also managed to raise an amazing $1,513.00 for the cause.
The hardest part?
“Going up! Especially the second time in a row. The coming down is easy.”
Well done, Henrietta!
